# Reading

The **Reading** tab displays the biblical text of a selected book and chapter.

## Bible and Passage

- **Bible** menu: select an edition, **About This Bible**, **Manage Bibles** (opens **Settings** under **Manage Modules**)
- **About This Bible** opens a dialog with the edition’s full title, author, publisher, and copyright
- **Book and Chapter** field to enter or adjust the passage
- **Select Book and Chapter** opens the selector with the **Chapter** column, divided into **Old Testament** and **New Testament**
- **Previous Book**, **Next Book**, **Previous Chapter**, **Next Chapter** change the displayed passage

## Display

**Display Options** allows you to toggle **Show Verse Numbers**.

Any **Notes embedded in the text** of the edition, if available, appear in the chapter.

A **Read** action from **Search** opens the corresponding passage here.
